We are looking for an Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a Chartered Building Services Design Consultancy based in Carlisle. We are looking for Graduate Electrical Engineers who have come straight from university and live locally, or an Electrician looking to move into design. We are looking for a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering who wants to develop a career in Building Services Design.

You'll be working on a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects, primarily across the North West of England - particularly in and around Carlisle, Lancaster, and Preston. Sectors include Education, Residential, Healthcare, Industrial, Defence, and Commercial. You'll gain great experience on projects such as hospitals, student accommodation, university buildings, council developments, and more.

Working as a Graduate Electrical Engineer alongside Senior Engineers and a very experienced Associate, you'll be fully supported in your development and progression within the Building Services sector. Being exposed to the commercial elements of the job and sitting in front of the client from early stages.

You will need a Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering as a minimum or an installation electrician background with ONC/HNC qualifications. Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic about electrical design, low-carbon technologies, and helping to shape smarter, more efficient buildings. A passion for sustainable solutions and Net Zero strategy would be a real advantage.

You'll be trained in the use of software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Electrical OM, and Dialux/Relux. Prior knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or another relevant software from your course would be helpful, but not essential.
