An award-winning environmental engineering consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team - someone with a genuine passion for forward-thinking electrical design and the ambition to work on projects that most engineers simply never get near.

The Role

This position is suited to a Senior Electrical Engineer who is motivated by the work itself - someone who is energised by technically complex, bespoke projects and who sees emerging technologies as an opportunity rather than a footnote. The successful candidate will take ownership of electrical design across a varied portfolio of schemes, working closely with the wider engineering and sustainability team.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Electrical building services design across cultural, heritage, education, and public sector projects
• Battery storage systems, photovoltaics, and low-carbon electrical technologies
• Design delivery from early concept through to technical completion and site inspection
• Engaging directly with architects, clients, and project teams as a trusted technical point of contact
• Contributing to the practice's wider sustainability and environmental design approach

About You

• Around 5 years' experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment
• A genuine interest in emerging electrical technologies - particularly batteries, photovoltaics, and future-focused systems
• Drawn to complex, technically interesting projects - theatres, listed buildings, cultural venues - rather than high-volume repetitive work
• The ability to work independently and take considered ownership of design delivery
• Attitude and curiosity are as important here as technical experience - this is a practice that hires for mindset as much as skillset
• Experience in heritage or conservation projects is a plus, though not essential
