The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an MEP Revit Technician to join the growing Building Services team. Working within a collaborative BIM environment, the successful candidate will support the delivery of coordinated building services designs across a variety of sectors and project scales.
This role is ideally suited to an individual with a strong technical understanding of Revit MEP and BIM processes who enjoys working closely with engineers and designers to produce high-quality project information. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring models are accurate, coordinated and delivered in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain coordinated MEP models using Autodesk Revit.
- Generate drawings, schedules and project documentation from BIM models.
- Review models and drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with project standards.
- Create and modify Revit families, tags, annotations, legends and templates.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination activities and resolve model interfaces with other design disciplines.
- Assist with clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions relating to BIM delivery.
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of BIM standards and workflows.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed in accordance with programme requirements and quality expectations.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Experience working as an MEP Revit Technician or within a similar BIM-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Experience producing coordinated building services models and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of BIM processes and model coordination principles.
- Experience using Navisworks for clash detection and model review.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 standards.
- Experience working within a building services consultancy or contractor environment.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health building services systems.
- Familiarity with additional BIM and digital engineering software.
