Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer / Associate Geo-Environmental Engineer
Central London | Permanent

The opportunity

We're partnering with a well-respected, independent civil and structural consultancy in central London that's on a real growth trajectory. They've built a strong, multidisciplinary Ground Engineering division and are now investing seriously in contaminated land.

This is a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer or Associate Geo-Environmental Engineer role for someone who wants to do more than just deliver projects. You'll technically lead the contaminated land specialism and play an active role in growing it - with an established pipeline and existing client base already feeding through the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading contaminated land projects end to end as a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer or Associate Geo-Environmental Engineer - Phase 1 desk studies through to complex, multi-phase intrusive investigations
  • Producing and reviewing Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (DQRA) and human health / controlled waters risk assessments
  • Supporting and contributing to business development activity and client relationships
  • Working collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team - civil, structural, environmental, masterplanning, waste
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff

What we're looking for

  • An experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer with a strong contaminated land background across site investigation, risk assessment and remediation
  • Proven DQRA experience - CLEA, ConSim or equivalent
  • Comfortable managing projects and clients independently at Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer or Associate level
  • Someone who enjoys the BD and client-facing side as much as the technical delivery
  • CGeol, CEnv or working towards chartership (desirable)

Why this role?

  • Real influence - help shape a growing contaminated land practice from a position of strength
  • Technically complex, interesting projects in central London
  • Multidisciplinary environment - civil, structural, environmental, waste, masterplanning all under one roof
  • Young, ambitious and collaborative culture
  • Established client base and healthy pipeline from day one
