Are you an experienced Structural Technician looking for your next opportunity in Manchester?

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded structural engineering consultancy that is looking to strengthen its team with a Structural Technician at either mid-level or senior level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team working on a diverse range of interesting and technically challenging projects.

The Role

As a Structural Technician, you will work closely with structural engineers and other members of the design team to produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed information across a variety of projects.

Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, contribute to project delivery and support less experienced members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Producing detailed structural drawings and technical information.

• Working with engineers to develop structural designs from concept through to construction.

• Preparing reinforcement, steelwork, concrete and other structural detailing.

• Using AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce accurate drawings and models.

• Coordinating structural information with architects, engineers and other disciplines.

• Supporting the delivery of projects to agreed timescales and quality standards.

• For senior-level candidates, taking greater ownership of projects and providing technical guidance to junior team members.

About You

We are keen to hear from Structural Technicians at both mid-level and senior level who are looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive and technically strong environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience working within a structural engineering consultancy.

• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.

• Good knowledge of structural construction and detailing principles.

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

• The ability to interpret engineering designs and translate them into clear, accurate drawings.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

For senior candidates, experience taking responsibility for projects, coordinating deliverables and supporting junior technicians would be advantageous.
