I'm currently working with a well-established and growing transport planning and infrastructure consultancy that is looking to strengthen its London team with the appointment of a Transport Planner.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected consultancy with a strong pipeline of development projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use, education and regeneration sectors. You'll gain exposure to projects from initial feasibility through to planning approval, working alongside experienced transport planners, engineers and industry specialists.

The Opportunity


As a Transport Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering transport assessments and development planning advice for a diverse client base. The position offers excellent scope for career progression, technical development and increased responsibility within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans to support planning applications.
  • Undertake traffic impact assessments and junction modelling using software such as Junctions 9, LinSig, TRICS and TEMPro.
  • Analyse transport data and develop practical solutions to support development proposals.
  • Contribute to sustainable transport strategies, active travel initiatives and wider masterplanning projects.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and supporting documentation for clients, local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Support project delivery, client meetings and day-to-day project management activities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful planning outcomes.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within a transport planning or development planning consultancy environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software including Junctions 9, LinSig, TRICS and TEMPro.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to develop professionally within a growing consultancy.
