Produce, check and review technical deliverables including design reports, specifications, drawings and calculations.
Provide technical input across project design packages and help manage delivery against programme, budget and quality requirements.
Work closely with clients, project managers, contractors and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated solutions.
Provide technical leadership and support to less experienced engineers, helping to develop the wider team's capabilities.
Work independently on challenging engineering problems, applying sound technical judgement and industry best practice.
Contribute to bid proposals, fee estimates and technical submissions.
Ensure designs comply with relevant design standards, CDM requirements and health and safety legislation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally.
Maintain high standards of technical quality, including checking and reviewing your own and others' work.
About You

Proven experience within a civil engineering design consultancy, ideally working within a multidisciplinary environment.
Experience coordinating or managing civil engineering design teams.
Strong technical knowledge of external works, particularly drainage, utilities, pavements and earthworks.
Good knowledge of current design standards, codes and industry best practice, including CDM.
The ability to work independently and confidently provide technical direction at Senior Engineer level.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical and innovative engineering solutions.
Excellent communication and technical briefing skills.
A collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery and client relationships.
Experience with relevant design and modelling software such as Civil 3D, Causeway Flow or InfoDrainage would be advantageous.
Experience within energy, defence or other major infrastructure sectors would be beneficial but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence is desirable.
