Maintenance Electrician - Basingstoke

£43,000 + Standby + Overtime | Company Vehicle | Private Healthcare

An established Facilities Management provider is strengthening its mobile engineering team and is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to cover Basingstoke and the surrounding areas.

You'll be responsible for the electrical maintenance of a portfolio of prestigious commercial sites, providing a mixture of planned, reactive and remedial works. The position offers a good level of variety, with engineers working across different properties rather than being tied to one location.

About the Position

Working as part of the mobile maintenance team, you'll ensure electrical systems and associated building services remain operational, safe and compliant.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Planned preventative maintenance across commercial properties
• Reactive maintenance and electrical fault finding
• Electrical repairs, testing and remedial works
• Maintenance of power distribution and emergency lighting
• Working with fire alarm systems and BMS
• Minor electrical installation work
• Investigating faults and identifying remedial requirements
• Supporting planned projects and larger maintenance works
• Liaising with specialist contractors when required
• Completing job sheets, reports and maintenance records
• Working with clients and site representatives to resolve maintenance issues
• Responding to engineering call-outs as part of the standby rota

The role covers a varied commercial portfolio, giving you exposure to different buildings, systems and maintenance requirements throughout the Basingstoke area.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background and be comfortable working independently across commercial environments.
You'll need:

• Level 3 Electrical qualification or recognised equivalent
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience
• Previous commercial or Facilities Management experience
• Experience with both PPM and reactive maintenance
• Good understanding of electrical building services
• Full UK driving licence
• Professional approach when dealing with customers and clients
