About the role
Our client is a specialist design consultancy delivering technical design for major stadiums, elite training facilities and sports infrastructure worldwide. They are looking for a BIM Coordinator to take ownership of BIM quality and coordination across a portfolio of live projects.
Reporting to the Senior Designer, you will work with project Design Leads, engineers and technicians, and liaise with external architects, civil, structural and MEP consultants. The role is hands-on, and when workload allows you will also take on Revit modelling and drawing production.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating BIM delivery across your projects in line with client requirements, internal standards and ISO 19650 principles
- Federating in-house models with architectural, structural, civil, MEP and other consultant models, including clash detection and model reviews
- Setting up and managing project models, covering coordinates, links, worksets and model health
- Supporting BIM Execution Plans and managing information through Common Data Environments
- Carrying out QA checks on models, drawings and design information before issue
- Supporting Design Leads in multidisciplinary coordination and BIM meetings
- Helping develop BIM standards, templates, Revit families and workflows
- Providing day-to-day Revit and BIM support to designers and technicians
- Producing coordinated plans, sections, details and schedules
- Supporting the modelling of specialist systems such as drainage, irrigation, undersoil heating and ventilation
About you

- Experience with a Common Data Environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360
- Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination
- Good understanding of technical drawing production, model QA, and drawings, pipework, drainage, levels, plant and utility interfaces
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with confidence liaising with architects, engineers and contractors
- The ability to manage several projects at once while staying involved in production
Desirable:
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
- A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in BIM, Civil, Mechanical, Building Services, Infrastructure or a related discipline
- A background in civil, mechanical or MEP engineering, drainage, water or infrastructure, or a multidisciplinary consultancy
No sports experience needed. Sports-surface design experience is a bonus, but full training will be provided in specialist pitch systems, with in-house experts handling the specialist design input.
