Site Surveyor -Water Infrastructure

I'm currently working with a major infrastructure contractor who are looking to bring an experienced Site Surveyor into their team at Sizewell C.
The role will support the delivery of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP), providing setting out, dimensional control, surveying and verification throughout the construction, testing and commissioning phases.
You'll be working closely with the engineering and construction teams, making sure works are being delivered accurately, to the correct tolerances and in line with approved drawings and specifications.
The Role
As Site Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day surveying requirements across the project, including:
- Setting out civil, structural, mechanical and utility installations
- Establishing and maintaining site survey control and networks
- Carrying out topographical, dimensional and as-built surveys
- Checking construction works against drawings, specifications and tolerances
- Providing accurate survey information to engineering and construction teams
- Producing survey reports, records and supporting documentation
- Assisting with quality inspections, dimensional checks and verification
- Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover
- Maintaining accurate as-built and asset information
- Supporting BIM and project information requirements where required
About You
I'm looking for a Site Surveyor / Engineering Surveyor with a solid construction or infrastructure background.
You'll ideally have:
- experience in engineering or construction surveying
- Degree, HNC or HND in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
- Strong experience with Total Stations and GPS/GNSS equipment
- Good knowledge of survey software and data management
- Proven experience in setting out, dimensional control and as-built surveying
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of construction tolerances and quality requirements
- CAD experience
- Full UK driving licence
Experience working on water, wastewater, utilities or major infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
This would suit someone who is comfortable working on a busy construction site, can work closely with engineers and site teams, and takes pride in getting the detail right.
