We are currently working with a well respected Transport Planning consultancy who pride themselves on Quality, innovation and excellence in design. Working across a range of sectors including residential, employment, education & commercial they are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join the Hampshire based team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled and diverse team of Planners & Engineers, assisting clients in the preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, site access feasibility assessments and Travel Plans as part of the planning process.

Candidate Specification

  • Relevant professional qualification & membership to a professional organisation
  • Background in development planning & consultancy experience
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages, AutoCAD & Junctions' 9
  • Capable of producing planning-stage highway drawings
  • Proficiency with TRICS database

Job Tasks

  • Produce & review transport assessments, statements, travel plans & other technical notes
  • Arrange & conduct highway surveys
  • Prepare appeals documentation & attend hearings
  • Attend expert witness hearings
  • Carry out junction assessments & modelling
