Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, award-winning UK architectural practice at a pivotal moment in their growth story. This practice, with a strong national reputation built over more than seven decades, has recently opened a brand new studio in Leeds, marking a significant step in their ambition to build a meaningful, embedded presence in the North of England.

The Leeds hub is a strategic investment, backed by strong revenue growth and a clear pipeline of public sector work across education, leisure, justice and civic sectors. The practice is design-led, sustainability-focused, and consistently delivers architecture that puts the end user first, values that run through every project they take on.
They're now looking for a Senior Architect to be one of the founding members of this new team.

The Role
You'll be working across a portfolio of complex, meaningful public sector projects, with a particular focus on the education sector. The practice has an active pipeline of Department for Education (DfE) projects, and experience working within DfE frameworks and standards is what will really set a candidate apart here.

You'll be involved across all RIBA stages, contributing to design development, technical delivery and consultant coordination, with genuine scope to grow as the studio does.

What they're looking for:

• ARB registered architect with solid post-qualification experience
• Strong education sector background, with DfE school experience a significant plus
• Familiarity with DfE procurement routes, output standards and technical requirements
• Comfortable working across the full range of RIBA stages
• A collaborative, people-focused approach that suits a studio culture built on quality and care
• Enthusiasm for sustainable design and people-centred architecture
