Tekla Technician / Tekla Detailer

Calibre Search are currently working with an established structural and civil engineering consultancy in Cheshire West who are looking to appoint an experienced Tekla Technician / Tekla Detailer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who is looking for a long-term role within a busy and varied engineering environment, working on a range of high-profile and technically challenging projects.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed structural drawings and models using Tekla Structures, working closely with engineers and the wider technical team.

The business is particularly interested in candidates with 5+ years' experience in Tekla detailing. Experience in either steel or concrete detailing will be considered, although the ability to work across both disciplines would be highly advantageous.

Current and recent project work includes major steel detailing schemes, including work associated with Wimbledon Tennis Club and a nuclear power plant project in Kosovo, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Producing detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.

• Detailing structural steel and/or reinforced concrete structures.

• Working from engineering drawings, specifications and design information.

• Liaising with structural engineers, project teams and other technicians.

• Ensuring drawings and models are accurate and produced to the required standards.

• Supporting projects from initial detailing through to completion.

• Working as part of a collaborative technical team on a variety of projects.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years' experience working as a Tekla Technician, Tekla Detailer or similar.

• Strong practical experience using Tekla Structures.

• Experience in steel and/or concrete detailing.

• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information.

• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.

• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.

• Experience working within a structural engineering consultancy, detailing practice or similar environment.

Candidates who can demonstrate experience across both steel and concrete detailing would be particularly attractive, although this is not essential.

The Company

You will be joining an established team of around 14 people, including structural and civil engineering professionals, technicians and support staff. The company offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects within a close-knit and technically focused environment.

The role is office-based in Cheshire West area, and the business is ideally looking for someone who is comfortable working predominantly from the office rather than on a hybrid basis.
