Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Associate

A well-established property consultancy is looking to strengthen its Southampton cost management team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor, at Surveyor, Senior, or Senior Associate level.
The business operates across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, commercial, education, and leisure.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS looking to take the next step in their career within a growing consultancy, with the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects and take on increasing responsibility.

The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor / Senior / Senior Associate, you will be involved in delivering cost management services across a range of projects, working closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing cost management and quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle
• Cost planning, estimating and budgeting
• Measurement and preparation of tender documentation
• Procurement and tender analysis
• Contract administration and commercial management
• Interim valuations, payment applications and cost reporting
• Managing variations, change control and final accounts
• Providing commercial advice to clients and project teams
• Attending site and client meetings
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to the continued growth of the Southampton office

Post-contract experience would be highly desirable.

About You

• Experience working within a consultancy environment
• Strong pre-contract experience, with post-contract experience highly desirable
• Good knowledge of cost management and commercial processes
• Strong client facing and communication skills
• The ability to manage projects and work independently
• A relevant Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent qualification

The role will involve regular site visits, so candidates should be comfortable travelling to projects across the region where required.
