Bid Manager

Bingley, West Yorkshire
An established and growing consultancy based in Bingley is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager to play a key role in its continued growth across the UK and international markets.
Operating across sports infrastructure, environmental design and specialist consultancy, the business works on a diverse range of projects, from major international stadia to community sports facilities and environmental developments.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the bid function, working closely with technical, operational and commercial teams to develop and deliver high-quality, competitive tender submissions.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle, from identifying and assessing opportunities through to developing the bid strategy, coordinating responses and delivering the final submission.
Working across a varied portfolio of services and projects, you will bring structure and consistency to the bid process, ensuring submissions are commercially focused, technically accurate and aligned with client requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:

  Managing bids, tenders and RFPs from initial opportunity assessment through to final submission.
• 
  Developing bid strategies, win themes and compelling responses that maximise the chances of success.
• 
  Coordinating input from technical specialists, operational teams and commercial stakeholders.
• 
  Writing, editing and reviewing high-quality bid content, including methodologies, executive summaries, project experience and social value responses.
• 
  Managing bid schedules, deadlines, reviews and approval processes to ensure compliant, high-quality submissions.
• 
  Working with commercial teams to coordinate pricing and fee proposals.
• 
  Maintaining and developing bid content, templates, case studies and supporting materials.
• 
  Identifying opportunities to improve bid processes, consistency and overall win rates.

About You

You will be an experienced Bid Manager, Senior Bid Writer or Proposal Manager with a proven track record of managing complex tenders and bringing together multiple stakeholders to deliver successful submissions.
You'll be organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking the lead, with the ability to turn detailed technical information into clear, persuasive proposals. Just as importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively and be confident managing several live opportunities at once.
Ideally, you will bring:

• 
  A minimum of three years' relevant bid management or tendering experience.
• 
  Experience managing the full bid process, from planning through to submission.
• 
  Strong written communication, editing and stakeholder management skills.
• 
  The ability to manage competing deadlines and coordinate contributions across different teams.
• 
  Experience with bid governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• 
  Experience within consultancy, professional services, construction or a related sector.

Experience with Adobe InDesign would be beneficial, as would knowledge of the sports infrastructure or water sectors.
