The Telegraph have produced a list of the deadliest jobs in the UK and how much they pay. The data from the Health and Safety Executive shows the construction industry has the highest number of casualties. See full article here.
New Software Shows Ratio of Disabled Employees in a Company
The Recruitment Industry are using innovative software to address barriers for disabled people seeking work. RIDI’s Disability Inclusion Calculator works by computing an individual organisation’s ‘disability employment gap’ based on the number of existing employees who have disclosed a disability coupled with overall headcount. Staff Shortages Are Putting Up Pay
The market research company Markit have produced data for the REC that indicates the UK labour market is tightening due to employers finding it harder to recruit staff. Resulting in the rise of pay rates for both permanent and temporary staff. See full article here.
GDPR Changes That Could Impact Recruiters
The General Data Protection Regulation from 25 May 2018. Recruitment companies are being warned that if they do not adjust to be in line with new regulations they could receive very large fines. Find article here.
The Number Older Claims to Employment Tribunal Could be Set to Rise
People who decided not to take cases to employment tribunals because fees were introduced could now make claims after the charges were ruled unlawful. The case won by Unison on the 26th July prevents the fees of between £390 and £1,200. See full details here.
